Anna Delvey (aka Anna Sorokin) posed as a wealthy German heiress living in NYC. She scammed numerous wealthy socialites and swindled prominent banks/hotels. The series starts with Anna in prison for the charges of committing financial fraud in the millions of dollars. Vivan Kent, a reporter, was interested in her story despite the lack of support from her boss. She ultimately decided to visit Anna in the prison she is staying at so she could Anna’s side of the story. Vivan continues to research by tracking down leads and sources. Throughout her research, we can learn more about Anna’s life and see flashbacks of the events that lead up to her incarnation. How is a con artist inspirational?
